Wonderfully Wicked!

The spooky season is just around the corner and I love celebrating Halloween!  This year's Halloween collection from Close to My Heart is adorable and I love that it includes one of our new colours, Thistle!  I LOVE purple with the traditional orange and black colours of Halloween.

I decided to tackle a project that was posted on the new CTMH blog - a paper witch's
hat that was pictured in the Annual Inspirations Idea Book.  I am not normally a "follow the pattern" kind of gal, but I loved this project and the step by step tutorial complete with pics made a complicated project fun and easy!!

I am really happy with how it turned out! Using my Cricut Artiste cartridge with Cricut Craft Room on my computer made laying out the cuts quick and easy and the step by step instructions were clear and easy to follow.  Here is a close up of the flowers:

I added some non CTMH leftovers Halloween embellishments from years ago - the flowers are fun and so easy with the Cricut.  The spider web edge was made with the cupcake liners!

All of the details, along with instructions and some alternative ways to create your own hat, are
found on the CTMH blog, Make It from your Heart!

Supplies used are listed below:

Z1790          Cricut Artiste  Cartridge

X7185B      Scaredy Cat Paper Pack

Z3011         Scaredy Cat Assortment

Mojo Monday Card (and box)

I am feeling a little lack of mojo these days - so what better way to find it than with the weekly Mojo Monday challenge?!

Mojo Monday provides a sketch to work from:

And here is my take on it:

I used the Pathfinding paper kit - I love the autumn colours.
I also used the "Thanksgiving Wreath"  (B1454) stamp set for the sentiment.

After the card was made I thought a little gift box to go with it might be fun:

The box and leaves were cut with the Cricut and the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges.
Quick, easy and a fun hostess or thank you gift!

Check out all the great sketches at Mojo Monday and get your Mojo going!!

Happy Day everyone!

More Merry!!

I am all about Christmas this week, it seems!  As promised in yesterday's post, here is the extra project I made using the SnowHaven Paper Pack and Be Jolly hostess stamp set!

I was inspired by the wonderful Vicki Wizniuk, whose blog post HERE, provided the info and template link to make this project!

The project is a set of six 3x3 mini cards for Christmas, with a lovely little gift box to match!

First the cards - made from little scraps!

And then the little card holder:

The whole project took about an hour to put together - the cards are quick and easy, made with scraps and leftover embellishments from two 6x6 squares of paper and the remnants of the
SnowHaven Workshop on the Go kit (see yesterday's post) for details!

I plan to make a few more of these to have on hand for Christmas Hostess gifts and craft fairs.
A great way to use up leftovers and scraps!

Happy Day everyone!

Time for Tea! (With a side of Blog Candy!!)

I have been busy over the past while playing with my new supplies - mostly making cards and Christmas treats!  I found a great little tea holder that I will be using as part of a teacher gift - I used the Frosty collection from CTMH and I am super happy with how it turned out!

And the top ( removable lid - so it is refillable!)

The template came from Vicki Wizniuk  - you can find it on her blog here!

Thanks for checking out my blog!  Remember if you become a follower  by November 30,
you will be entered to receive a little CTMH blog candy from me!

Happy Day!
